The Higher Education Trust (HEP) is a non-profit education think tank committed to strengthening decision-making, access, and quality across the higher education ecosystem. We work across schools, educators, institutions, and policy forums. Our focus lies in building knowledge systems, guidance frameworks, and collaborative platforms that help learners, teachers, and institutions engage meaningfully with education choices in a rapidly changing world.

We exist to:

  • Promote informed and realistic educational choices
  • Encourage integration between academic and vocational pathways
  • Strengthen the role of educators as mentors and guides
  • Support equitable access to learning resources and opportunities

We believe that better decisions emerge not from one-time advice, but from structured engagement over time.

Highlights from The HEP

We touched base schools in Gujarat, Punjab and Rajasthan and Western Utter Pradesh. Near 1200 teachers expressed interest and we selected about 80 of them and gave them intensive training on career counselling in  Oct 2024.  A set of revised ebooks were also presented to them.

Organized a one day training programme for educators on Career Counselling in Delhi.  On the occasion of Didac India, nearly 800 teachers visited the conference and exhibition. We selected 62 of them and gave them intense training on how to identify, nurture and guide a child’s career journey especially over the crucial 15- 17 age group.

A major policy level workshop on integrating vocational and general education was hosted by HEP in association with India Didac Association in Sep 23 in Delhi and a VC conclave was hosted in Bangalore prior to that.
